• Google Experience Launcher Explained!

No need to worry if you are stuck on an older version of Android. We understand many of our Android lovers like to have the latest android version on their smartphone. Well, now we can install apps and some wallpapers to LOOK-A-LIKE a KitKat Version.
To install the new launcher (Google Home), you’ll have to install 3 different apps – Google Play Services 4.0, Google Search, and the Google Home .apk. (Cheers to Phandroid for figuring that out.)

Oh, if something breaks, don’t blame us. These are technically unreleased apps that were meant for the Nexus 5. Some may work, others may not so well. I tested these on a stock, Android 4.3 Nexus 4. Depending on what device you have, you may run into issues. Be warned.
Have fun! I think we’re about spent for one day.

Included in the thread are the following apps:
    ·         Attached File  CalendarGoogle.apk   2.55MB   1 downloads (Calendar)
    ·         Attached File  DeskClockGoogle.apk   2.28MB   1 downloads (Desk Clock)
    ·         Attached File  EmailGoogle.apk   4.75MB   1 downloads (Email)
    ·         Attached File  GalleryGoogle.apk   10.67MB   1 downloads (Gallery)
    ·         Attached File  Gmail2.apk   4.45MB   1 downloads (Gmail)
    ·         Attached File  GoogleCamera.apk   7.55MB   1 downloads (Camera)
    ·         Attached File  Hangouts.apk   10.32MB   1 downloads (Hangouts – yeah, the one with integrated SMS)
    ·         Attached File  Keep.apk   2.67MB   1 downloads (Keep)
    ·         Attached File  LatinImeGoogle.apk   15.25MB   1 downloads (Google Keyboard with integrated emojis)
    ·         Attached File  GoogleHome.apk   11.82MB   1 downloads (Google Home launcher – you must first install the following two apps for it to work…)
    ·         Attached File  PrebuiltGmsCore.apk   8.13MB   1 downloads (Play Services 4.0)

    ·         Attached File  Velvet.apk   14.39MB   2 downloads (Google Search)

In case you get Google Search force close issues, Phandroid has provided the following instructions:
Long press the home screen, select Settings. Select Voice. Select Language to change the default. Change to another language, I choose English – UK. Hit Home. Do a Google Search. Repeat the first three steps. Change back to English – US.

As usual, neither GadgetDesk nor Phandroid (from whom I downloaded the apps that I attached here) can be held responsible for any damage done to your devices by flashing these apps. Keep in mind that these apps were intended for use on Android 4.4 KitKat running on a Nexus 5, so they might cause problems for some older devices (even though KitKat is supposed to run more smoothly on them than Jelly Bean).

Now lets move over to the wallpapers. Nexus 5 sports some cool wallpapers. You might want to browse through the gallery below or you might just want to download them all right away in a zip file.
