Micromax the popular Indian smartphone maker has shown
off its new tablet PC at the CES 2014. The new canvas Laptab is capable of booting into two operating
system which is windows 8.1 and android jellybean 4.2 which will be updated to
kit Kat in the future.
The laptab is powered by the intel Celeron 1.4
ghz processor which is good at multi-tasking, The display is a 10.2 inch IPS display it comes loaded with 2gb of ram which
is enough to run any ram hungry app available.
The laptab boosts a huge 7400
mAh battery which is great for a tab with the this type of specs, it also has
2megapixel front camera it comes with 32gb of internal storage which is
expandable to 64gb via an external SD card.
The
laptab will come with a detachable wireless keyboard.
The user will be able to choose the OS when the device is
powered on to switch between an OS the user will require to reboot the tab. Micormax laptab will be available to the
consumers by next month and will be priced around Rupees 30,000. Micromax is
claiming it to be the world’s first dual-boot tab if that is the case the we
could expect even more innovative products from micromax in the future.

Micromax would be unveiling more products across international markets in next six months, he added.
According to analysts, the Laptab's specifications are not its highpoint, but the dual operating systems is.
However, Micromax is not the only company to launch a dual-OS tablet at CES 2014.
Computer components maker Asus unveiled its Transformer Book Duet TD300, which also runs on Windows 8 and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
The 13.3-inch tablet from the Asus stable sports a quad-core Intel i7 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Besides, the detachable keyboard dock has a 1 terabyte of internal memory and various ports, including HDMI, LAN, one USB 3.0, and two USB 2.0.
