• HTC Desire 700

HTC Desire recently released in the Taiwan in the month of November and was officially released in India on 10th December 2013. Since the company says it’s a mid range device we must not expect it to compete it with the high range devices.

Lets take a look at the HTC Desire 700 taking with the display.

    DISPLAY :

HTC manufactures this guy with a 5-inch screen with QHD which means it has a resolution of 960*540which is almost equal to 220 ppi (pixel per inch). Nowadays we don’t have such a low resolution at least it must have 720p resolution. No offense to HTC but it does not make any sense with nowadays 1080p resolution but it’s kind of an average display which we used to see in the early 2013. Either way if you want a better deal buy the Motorola latest Flagship Moto G.

    Camera :

It has a pretty much good sensor with auto focus. It sports a 8 Mega-pixel camera with Flash which is able to take quite good shots but it does not have a UHD sensor which was sported in the HTC One. The camera UI is good and is capable of taking full HD recording there are no contrast ratios problem regarding the camera quality but no Smartphone gets it colors right! Many customizable functions are available too.

    Hardware and Performance :

It has a typical HTC desire power on/off button on top of the device like the Iphone models. The device is quite sleek and light weight while handling and its feels very premium while using in the hand. The back panel is matt finished so no tension to the unnecessary fingerprints on the back. It has a good quality front facing loudspeakers and the sound quality is awesome. The average weight of the device is 153 grams. The device has an micro-sd slot and is capable of getting external memory upto 64 gigs. And the internal storage provided by the device is 8 GB no additional storage version about the device is available. This device has RAM of about 1 GB. The back panel is completely removable not like the HTC one which was UNI-body. It’s a Plus point so if we get a hard lag we can reset the device or if we are experiencing a battery problem. It is always a Plus having the back panel removable.

The main specification about this device is its dual capability of SIM. Yes, we can put two SIM which is also a plus point in this device.
    Software
According to the software, it runs android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It runs HTC official custom skin the Sense 5.0 on top of android which is the latest. The User Interface is quite stable and snappy thanks to the 1 GB RAM. Regarding the android version so outdated it not yet told by the company for further android updates. But finger-crossed to get an OTG update very soon for 4.3 or 4.4.
    Pricing and Final Thoughts
The overall price to be expected to this device in the Indian market is about 33,050 INR but you can get it around 27,000 in some places depends on your Location. I mean it’s costly for us to but a mid-range phone. Instead buy Micromax and XOLO only advice for Indian users. Outside Indian the price to be expected is 470$ (below 500$) it’s a good deal. Moto G is far better than this but has only 4.5 inches of screen which is a negative point to those who like phones with a large display but with this ridiculous low price who doesn’t want to grab one!
