  • Oppo N1 Review

The Oppo N1 is the first handset to receive Google certification to launch With CyanogenMod pre-installed with Google's suite of apps and Play Store.

Oppo N1 is the latest smartphone which comes with the latest CyanogenMod.
The second most profitable smartphone vendor in china, Oppo is growing leaps and bounds this year and when you look at its 2013 crop of handsets, that's for a good reason after the first phone with 13 mp camera and second with full hd display, Oppo Find 5, then the very thin and light dual sim Oppo R819, the company now outs a unique cameraphone, dubbed the Oppo N1

lets see what we get with the Oppo N1 out of the box.
    · In-ear stereo headphones
    · O-Click Bluetooth Remote Control
    · Wall charger
    · MicroUSB cable
    · SIM ejector tool
    · Warranty and information leaflets

     DESIGN

      The Oppo N1 is one big phone. With Dimensions 6.72 x 3.25 x 0.35” (170.7 x 82.6 x 9 mm),

It only gives way to the Xperia Z Ultra phablet. It is taller than phablets like the HTC One max, Lumia 1520 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3, but narrower than Samsung's handset, so at least holding it is fairly possible. It is heavy phone but not as heavy that the phone must be disqualified but you might have to use your both hands to operate.

All the physical buttons are to the right hand side of the device which includes a power button and below the power button is the volume rocker. Under the bottom of the phone is the speaker, which is quite decent. A 5mm headphone jack and a charging slot or data synchronization slot.

      DISPLAY

Oppo N1 comes with the true ips 1920*1080 hd display.
      5.9 in (150 mm) diagonal
    (16:9 aspect ratio),
    multi-touch display,
    IPS TFT LCD,
    1920x1080 pixels at 377 ppi,

Touchscreen is quite responsive in terms of playing hd games.

According to the Oppo it quite pretty intensive device.

     HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE

The N1 packs a giant 5.9-inch full 1080p display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The graphic processor is the Adreno 320 which is somewhat lower to that of the Nexus 5 which comes with Adreno 330 GPU again their might not be gaming issue but its an older version. There are actually two different versions of this monster: One running Android 4.2.2 with Oppo's custom Color OS user interface and another version that runs CyanogenMod out of the box. The Oppo is running with the snapdragon 600 process while the other competitior phones are having snapdragon 800. Coming to the battery of the device which is HUGE, 3610 mAh battery which can give upto 7 hours of on screen display. The device has an incredible stamina to go through two days so if you are looking for a battery wise phone you might have to check this device.

     CAMERA

          world’s first rotating camera smartphone

oppo was the first in the world to release a 13-megapixel camera smartphone. with the N1, They are once again realizing new possibilities in smartphone photography. introducing the world’s first smartphone with a rotating camera.
The revolutionary rotating camera features a 206° rotation, and will securely lock at any angle. no matter what angle you choose, having just one amazing camera means that front facing shots are finally just as good as back facing shots.

    Features of Oppo N1

    O-Touch panel

O-Touch is an entirely new way of using your smartphone. A 12 cm2 rear touch panel makes one handed use for the large Oppo N1 screen comfortable and easy. with O-Touch you can scroll, tap, or snap photos – all without your fingers blocking the display.
we can browse through the web by just using the back panel without touching the screen instead while holding the device scroll up and down by your index finger makes easy to navigate through the phone.

      PRICING & FINAL THOUGHTS
The Oppo N1 comes with the 16 gig or the    32 gig inbuilt internal storage.
Unfortunatly no external storage slot is provided. firstly the Oppo N1 is going to ship with its OS color UI but they have also provided CyanogenMod for the devices and an unofficial version of Oppo is also going to be released named the PEPSI version which will be only available via some sorts of competitions from the pepsi. Oppo comes with android 4.3 out of the box .
The price of the Oppo N1 in the Indian market is expected to be around Rs. 36,999.

  • The New CyanogenMod

Hello there, I know there are lots of people who do love IOS (previously iPhone OS) but in the recent months CyanogenMod has become a well know custom rom for the android users.
CyanogenMod has about 7 millions of users according to the statics those who tick the option for enabling reports from their phone but it is said that not everybody checks that option so as far from CyanogenMod it is estimated that about 15-25 million users are using CyanogenMod
For those who don’t know CyanogenMod, it is a custom stock built on top of stock android which gives tons of features and customization options like the custom pull down toggles, shortcuts and themes and some tons of system customizations.
CyanogenMod gives you the latest android experience for those who have stuck on the outdated android version.
There are many custom roms in the world of android like the AOKP, MIUI and the PHANDROID, CyanogenMod is meant for stability and performance.
If u want smoother and faster performance go install it.

Installation of CyanogeMod is a nightmare for us, Which most of us don’t want to face because we are afraid that we might brick our pretty lovely device and even rooting your phone voids your warranty.
This means if your device gets bricked through rooting process the service center won't  fix it for you.

To Install the CyanogeMod before you had to worry about.....

    0) IS IT UNLOCKED?
    1) IS YOUR BOOLOADER UNLOCKER OR NOT?
    2) GET ROOT ACCESS
    3) WIPE ROM AND CACHE
    4) INSTALL ROMS AND GAPPS

This process was a hectic process while installing CyanogenMod as reported by people willing  to install CyanogenMod
To over come this issue Cyanogen is Introducing their latest CyanogenMod Installer which does all the above steps automatically for you. You don’t need to worry about if you are rooted or not? If your are using an unlocked phone or not nor you need to download and custom roms or think is this the stable rom. CyanogenMod Installer installs a stable version of rom in your mobile depending upon the device you are using.

CyanogenMod has invested about 8$ million dollars in this project.

Previously they were 7 millions of users using this custom rom but after the release of CyanogenMod Installer GadgetDesk is expecting a lot of people shifting to the CyanogenMod rom because the Installer has made easy for the average person to install the rom. This would blow the number of users using the CyanogenMod. Instaling new CyanogenMod on your device will the #1 feature of the CyanogenMod.

Unfortunately GadgetDesk has came up with an Issues in the CyanogenMod Installer that there is no way back to the previous version of android which you were using.
So a negativity over there but you can flash a stock image of your rom whenever  you want and you can be on the previous version of android.

Another important news is that CyanogenMod is now having a hardware partner which is officially announced and will let you know in our next post.
CyanogenMod ranks #3 in the our lists rather than ANDROID and IOS. They are way much ahead of any other like the blackberry, Firefox OS, Chrome OS and many more in the lists.

CyanogenMod installer was initially released in the Google Play Store in the mid of November 2013 but was not available on the Google Play after a week due to some sort of issues with the play store. After that we are expecting CyanogenMod Installer to show up in the Play Store soon.

Anyways we are providing you a link of the CyanogenMod Installer which you need to install on your android phone first and then on your PC.

List of compatible device is provided by CyanogenMod on their website.
